The Philadelphia Phillies was founded in 1883 and remains the only baseball team in the MLB that has never changed the city and name. The nickname cam about since the word Philadelphia did not fit in newspaper headlines, journalists began to shorten it to Phillies. Each version of Phillies logo do not resemble previous versions in any way as the team has always tried to rebrand and redesign its logo to associate the team transfer from division to division.
