Sega Corporation is a Japanese multinational video game and entertainment company headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo. The company started in the 40s as Standard Games and engaged in the supply of military game goods like pinball equipment. Later became “Service Games of Japan” and the first logo reflected that name. In 1954, the company was rebranded to Sega, and the first logo bearing this variation of the company name was in 1956.

Sega became one of the most recognized game brands at the end of the 1980s with the SEGA Genesis (Mega Drive) game console and Sonic the Hedgehog game.
