The Vancouver Grizzlies basketball team franchise was established in 1995 and joined NBA as one of the two Canadian expansion teams. The Grizzlies left Canada and relocated to Memphis in 2001. The old Memphis Grizzlies logo was the same as the Vancouver version except for the city name. The new logo and font changed the color scheme to a darker shade of blue.
