Miami Heat joined the NBA in 1988. The Heat logo is one of the most popular NBA team logos, a flaming ball flying into the basketball hoop.

The old Miami Heat basketball logo was created in 1988. The new Miami Heat redesigned logo switched the color palette to a darker one and the basketball is drawn in muted red with the yellow ends. The ring became white. The flame of the “T” was also tweaked and went a bit to the right. One of the favorite Heat logos is the alternative Miami Heat Vice logo, paying homage to the 80s TV classic Miami Vice.
