Chicago Cubs baseball club was founded in 1876. It had many nicknames, including the Orphans until the turn of the century. The team was renamed Cubs starting 1903 MLB season and has been its team name since. The current Cubs logo have not changed since 1979,. making it the longest running team logo in MLB.
