Cleveland Guardians was founded in 1901 as the Cleveland Blues. The team renamed itself to the Naps in 1906. It wasn’t until 1915 that the franchise changed its nickname to the Indians. The Cleveland Indians had a long well known history in the MLB, including being the team featured in the hit movie Major League. Starting with the 2022 season, the franchise dropped the Indians name and its famous Chief Wahoo logo and became the Cleveland Guardians.
