On June 4, 1974, the NFL awarded an expansion franchise to Seattle. After a public naming contest, the nickname Seahawks was selected and the first season was played in 1976. Seattle is the only team in the NFL that have switched conferences twice. Seahawks logo have stayed relativity the same through the years with minor modifications to color and style.
